What is the fastest growing sport in the nation? The answer is lacrosse. It’s not just an East Coast sport anymore. It is rapidly exploding into the South, Midwest and West. It is typically a spring sport, but in the warmer regions it is being played all year round. The Catawba Classic Lacrosse Tournament will be held in Rock Hill, South Carolina June 19 and 20, 2010.
Rock Hill, SC, Jan 26, 2010 — The Fort Mill Lacrosse Club is announcing the first annual Catawba Classic Lacrosse Tournament to be held June 19 & 20 at Manchester Meadows in Rock Hill, South Carolina. “It is one of the finest facilities in the southeast. The venue and it’s convenience to hotels, restaurants and shopping are our big selling points,” says Tom Salerno, President of Fort Mill Lacrosse Club. Manchester Meadows is located 25 minutes south of Charlotte, just off interstate 77.
Lacrosse teams from all over the region are invited to participate. The boy’s and girl’s divisions are ages u11 through u19. Information and registration for the Catawba Classic can be found at http://www.catawbaclassic.com.
