The Catawba Classic is a team tournament open to boys U11, U13, U15 and U19 and girls U15 and U19.  Come and enjoy a great weekend of lacrosse at one of the premier sports facility in the Southeast.  All games will be held at one location so travel and parking are convenient and easy.

The Format…

• Championship bracket style
• Each team plays 3 games on day 1 to determine seeding.  Teams will not be scheduled to play back to back games on day 1.
• Day 2 is the playoff round.  Each team will play their opening game according to seed.  The winner advances.  The loser moves to a consolation game.
• Day 1 and day 2 games will be 22 minute halves with a running clock, 5 minute halftime.
• All games will start on the hour signaled by a central horn
• Division Champs will receive Champion tee shirts

• One of the premier sports facility in the Southeast.
• 6 well manicured full size grass fields and 2 full size turf fields with stadium style seating.
• All fields are lighted.  If summer heat is excessive, we have the option to move games to the evening when it is cooler.
• Beautiful 70 acre park like setting
• Plenty of onsite parking, great concession selection and clean, permanent restrooms
• Minutes from Interstate 77
• Adjacent to hotels, restaurants, shopping and activities

Age Groups for 2012

• U11- Anyone born September 1, 2000 or after.
• U13- Anyone born September 1, 1998 or after.
• U15- Anyone born September 1, 1996 or after AND No High School during the 2011-2012 school year.
• HS JV- Anyone who played JV during the 2011-2012 School Year.
• HS VAR- Anyone who played Varsity during the 2011-2012 School Year

Registration…

• Register your team now to hold a spot.  Individual player information can be supplied later.
• All players will be required to supply their US Lacrosse number or identify currently in-force medical insurance provider and complete a waiver form.
• Register your team early with a $250 deposit. Deposits are required to hold a spot.
• Cost is 1000 per team until April 13
• Cost is 1200 per team after April 13
• Refunds on deposits are allowed before April 13. No refund on deposits after April 13
• Full payment is due by Friday May 11th.

Your hosts…

The Catawba Classic is hosted by the Fort Mill Lacrosse Club (FMLC).  The FMLC is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.   Our mission is to promote and grow the sport of Lacrosse in and around the Fort Mill community.  Proceeds from this tournament will benefit boys and girls programs in Fort Mill, both youth and high school.  Our club is thrilled to partner with Manchester Meadows and together we are dedicated to delivering a first rate tournament experience that will keep you coming back.
